Fund Raising for Omundu - 450k€
Omundu builds AI models for the industrial maintenance. Mehdi spent many years and invented a new AI technology to mitigate errors in AI systems. Vincent spent 20 years delivering complex equipment to Airbus and Dassault. Omundu applies the technology to serve industrial companies.
1 — Situation
Vincent Lemonde, Mehdi Hennequin, & Xavier Vaucois started Omundu. They have the expertise and the technology to build a very successful business. They lack funds to bootstrap the company. Xavier, thanks to his fund, served as lead investor. He opened his network, connected Omundu to VCs and business & technology partners like Antemeta.
3 — Problem Statement
The company needs 450k€. It's not easy to convince the first BAs to invest in a startup.
7 — Solution
The team gathered 450k€ from wealthy individual investors and from companies like Antemeta (AI infrastructure supplier) and Robival (industrial parts supplier).
8 — Result
After 9 months, the team received 450k€ and started to work with BPI and banks to get 300k€ more. The team also received funds from research programs with LIRIS (CNRS lab - public research).
